I give all credit to BrenBren (Brenda Richardson) for mentioning the solution in her post on this very issue back in May of 2006. I probably read over a 500 threads over the internet regarding every issue for cut/paste for AutoCad. In host drawing, paste with a base point (CTRL + SHIFT + V). Note: It took me two days to find a solution to this problem. Select object > Copy with a base point (CTRL + SHIFT + C). if I use the command CO for copy then this doesn't happen, it actually pastes normally. When I copy using CTRL+C and paste using CTRL+V, it automatically pastes as a block, even if I copy a simple line, it will past it as a block. If all else looks fine, save the drawing under the original name. Hi, I am working on AutoCAD 2015, I have always used the CTRL+V and CTRL+C commands for copy/paste and I have never had this problem. When you reopen the drawing, copy and paste should now work correctly. When the purge is complete, closed and save the drawing. Check both boxes if you don't have any nested applications. A dialog box will appear and ask you to select what you want purged. Autocad copy vs copyclip code#That code is now preventing you from pasting anything in the drawing.įIRST: Save the drawing with a different name. If you were able to copy and paste without a problem until reciently, you most likely reciently copied a symbol from another application that has inbedded code protecting the symbol. If you are experiancing Copy / Paste issues in a single drawing, you are probably fighting a Regapps problem. Problem: Copy / Paste has stopped working in one of your drawings.
